Incredibly tasty & fresh food. Oddly clean and organized (I was looking for hole-in-the-wall vibes). My guard was up at first. The burrito came perfectly cut and prepared. Tortilla roasted to a crispy finish (unlike anything I’d ever seen before in the area). I enjoyed eating here.

When it feels like restaurant food quality everywhere is going down while prices go up, Loltun stands apart - a shining light in the darkness. The food is so good and the prices are so affordable you might forget which city you're eating in. It's really like nothing else. The food is delicious, you can taste the care that is put in, the freshness and quality of the ingredients, in every bite. The portions are great for sharing and prices are super reasonable. It instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in SF. Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong. The Ponuchos, Salbutes, Tamales and Tortas are fantastic. The Poc-Chuc is incredible and the Caldo de Res is soothing, warm, and flavorful. Every dish comes with sauces, pickled veggies, citrus, salsa, and more. The combinations of flavors you can put together in a bit is unrivaled. Whether you're visiting the city or you've lived here for years, I truly cannot recommend this place enough.

Great Mayan cuisine (plus others like Peruvian lomo saltado) The poc chuc taco (the one with red onions on it) I really liked and would get again. The cochinta was too tender, like shredded chicken, for me but otherwise okay. Cebada is basically horchata but with barley instead of rice. Fizzy apple juice also flavorful and sweet

Great food and service. One of the best margaritas I have had & that says a lot. We had a super quesadilla, regular burrito & guacamole. All were excellent. It's not fancy but the food is delicious

Delicious, hearty, fresh Mexican food in the heart of the mission. So far I’ve gotten the poc chuc and cochinita pibil. The service is attentive, the restaurant is very clean, and they play good music. I think of it more as a lunch spot, but during dinner hours the atmosphere is chill so you could easily come here with a large group as they have long tables. My favorite place to come for a filling and healthy meal.

Uh? Burrito much? This was an amoizing burrito. OMG Karen! Totally authentic, AMIRIGHT? Delish! Stop in and get you some. The peeps were nice and portions...forget about it. HUGE is an understatement. Seriously, one of the best I've eaten.

Very delicious tacos — beef was slightly charred and the onions were caramelized, exceptionally yummy, as is the guacamole and empanadas, and the prompt friendly service ! Highly recommended!!

Honestly a really underrated place in SF. Amazing quesadillas and panuchos. Their premium meats, especially their cochinita is phenomenal. Reason it's not 5 stars is their regular chicken and poc chuc meat are really lacking in flavor and have been dry when I've got them. Also if you get a quesadilla, get the pico on the side because otherwise it makes the whole thing soggy and sweet. Still great quality overall, love their asada super quesadilla and cochinita panucho. Hope to see them become more popular in the future.
